Bristol Community College

Principals at CMK successfully undertook the complete renovation of the former Cherry & Webb building, the home of the former department store chain, located in downtown New Bedford. The 60,000 square foot historic building had been partially or fully vacant for many years until Kavanaugh and his team undertook the rehabilitation for higher education and retail uses.

The building is now the highly successful New Bedford campus of Bristol Community College, with thousands of students working to attain their associates’ degrees in health care related programs, while at the same time bringing new life to the downtown’s main thoroughfare.

This $10 million investment has been a welcome addition to downtown New Bedford, while at the same time allowing Bristol Community College to widely expand its geographic footprint.
