CMK is teaming up with Walker Development and Construction, and with the TimShel Development Group, on the historic restoration of two historic buildings in downtown Fitchburg. These two buildings, comprised of a total of 75,000 square feet, will be converted into 80 mixed-income units, with first floor retail space.


The buildings are located on downtown Fitchburg’s main thoroughfare, where there is enormous amounts of new activity and development being planned. These buildings are also located within walking distance of the Fitchburg Commuter Rail Station, which provides reliable train service into downtown Boston for commuters, and just down the hill from Fitchburg State University, with its 4,000 employees.


The development team has begun its review process with the City of Fitchburg, and hopes to begin construction in the first quarter of 2025.
