CMK is teaming up with Walker Development and Construction on the historic restoration of the former Santander Bank building in downtown Fitchburg. This 40,000 square foot historically significant building will be converted into 40 mixed-income rental units, with first floor retail space.

The building is located on downtown Fitchburg’s main thoroughfare, where there is enormous amounts of new activity and development being planned. The project is also located within walking distance of the Fitchburg Commuter Rail Station, and just down the hill from Fitchburg State University.

The property is located in a Smart Growth District, and the development team expects to begin its permitting process in the third quarter of 2023, with construction starting in the first quarter of 2024
