88 Pleasant Street

CMK Development Partners has teamed up with Ballybreen Ventures on the development of a transformational mixed-use project at 88 Pleasant Street in Weymouth’s Columbian Square.
Ballybreen and Hugh McLaughlin, its CEO, purchased the property located at 88 Pleasant Street a number of years ago. It is the site of a former South Shore Bank building. McLaughlin teamed up with CMK to assist in the redevelopment of the site. It will include the demolition of the now vacant building, and the construction of a 29,000 square foot structure with 30 residential units and two commercial units fronting on Pleasant Street. Ten percent of the units will be affordable.
The new building will be transformative for Columbian Square, bringing additional commercial and retail space, and pedestrian traffic generated by the residential units.
Financing is being provided by BayCoast Bank. Construction began in the 4th quarter of 2021, will completion occurring in the 1st quarter of 2023.
